Bio

Shane Gericke is the bestselling and prize-winning author of Ocean of Bones, Blown Away, and other novels. His books were shortlisted for the Thriller Award and named Debut Mystery of the Year by RT Book Reviews. He spent 25 years as a newspaper editor and reporter, most notably at the Chicago Sun-Times, before turning to fiction. The Chicago native, who now lives in Phoenix, is also a landscape photographer, for which he’s won multiple international honors. He’s a founding member of International Thriller Writers; chaired the ThrillerFest literary conference in New York; and claims with a straight face about 115-degree summers in Arizona, “it’s not the heat, it’s the humidity.”
