MEET ME, BUY MY BOOK, GET A FREE GIFT!

My first live book signing will be held at Anderson’s Bookshop in Naperville, Illinois, on September 5. It’s a ticketed event, meaning you must buy the book and ticket in advance so Anderson’s knows how many books to order. Happily, Anderson’s set up an E-Z link to buy book and ticket at the same time. Anyone gracious enough to do so will receive a personal gift from me (free!) along with your book (not free!) that night. I’m planning a signing at Poisoned Pen Bookshop in Scottsdale, Arizona, in October (more on that to come), but beyond that, I have no tour plans.

Welcome

Welcome to my website, the digital home of my novels, photographs, buying links to keep the author in pizza and whisky, and my news, views, and muses on the world around us. That world is filled with storms both real and cultural, but the good news is we have novels to get us through with grace, style, and certainty that the bad guys always get theirs at the end. I also offer photographs, scores of them, to fill your walls (or sides of coffee cups) with beauty. I’m pleased to meet you here. In the coming weeks I’ll tell you about my life, history, and work, but I’ll do that one post at a time. We’re all too busy to eat a dump truck full of information in one sitting, so I’ll break myself into tasty, bite-size pieces that won’t give you indigestion. In case you were wondering, the very first post will answer the burning question: “Why is your last name spelled with a G but pronounced with a Y? Were you dropped on your head as a child?” The answer to the latter is yes, at least symbolically given my “Me Mongo” size when I came roaring out of Mom with a bellow and full head of black hair (true story). But the answer to the name itself is quite interesting. Until we meet again, I remain, Your Humble Servant, Shane.
